The yarn used is the same yarn used to make fishing net for the local fishing industry. It is meant to be in and out of salt water. in the sunshine, wet and dry. It is built to last yet the rope is very soft and silky to the touch. We make our nylon rope with 8 strands of yarn braided around a centre core. Small nicks and cuts in one strand will not weaken the integrity of the braid.
